This song started from a bass sound. I channeled that vibe into a story. It was my opportunity to think about what I would tell people of the next generation based on what I've learned.

and then if they've earned it you can connect

Repetition of folly learned after a few snubs
So many changes but it all seems the same
A high pressure situation when you proclaim
Best to find somebody to say no to you
It's the only thing to protect you from toxic brew
Many gone because of the idea
We can do it alone but it's clear (you need someone to trust)
Story after story of single heroes falling down
Taking so much with them all the way to the ground
You need a backup
